1.24.09 // New Skit, Music Parody & Adam and Partow Updates
Happy New Year everybody! The Voice Work section has some major activity going on. I have done two new productions. The first is a little skit involving a highly exaggerated Bill Cosby impersonation about an advice line called "Cosby Cares About You". The second is a genre parody of Country Christmas music. Let's just say Santa gets into some trouble! I have also gone into the old Adam and Partow tape recordings and pulled out two of my favorite pieces. I will be adding more as time goes on so keep checking back. I hope you enjoy the new productions, and expect new ones whenever the inspiration hits.
12.5.08 // Another New Website & Voice Work Update
It is already December. Wow. I have done a new version of the official Darkane website at Darkane.com. I am very proud of my work on this webpage, so be sure to check it out if you are curious. I have nothing else on the slate for web design so hopefully more interest comes for my work soon. If you need web design that is fast, affordable, and professional, then shoot me an email at adamjblock@hotmail.com.
I have also updated the voice work section with a brand new joke song. This one is entitled "Don't Pick Up That Needle," and it is all about the dangers of playgrounds. There are also three more funny things from Adam and Partow. The first is a skit called Tonzah and the other two are quick collections of random high speed and slow speed things we recorded. That is all for now. See you all next year!
9.25.08 // New Websites & Voice Work
I could not be more pleased to announce that I have finally updated the voice work page with a brand new production. The track is called "Bring Da Fiyah" and it is a lovely parody of the early 90s dance music that I enjoyed when I was younger (and still do sometimes). You can check it out by going to the page and scrolling down to the rest of the productions list or you can just click here. I have also officially completed work on the JDKphotoart and I Will Productions webpages. You can see previews of them in the web design section.
7.23.08 // It Has Been A Very Busy Summer So Far
There is seemingly no other reason for me not to have updated for nearly three months. The jobs have been a lot of fun. It has especially been a blast working at CBS 6 since I started on May 2nd. I partically enjoy the company of the Virginia Lottery folks. The Radio Disney Backyard Shows have also been great. I view them each as separate learning experiences getting me one giant step closer to where I want to be as a professional radio personality. On the web design front, the site I made for the band The Defaced was uploaded on the 23rd of June. You can check out a preview in the web design section or visit it directly by heading over to www.thedefaced.com. The sites for I Will Productions and photographer Jerry Klepner are both behind schedule, but I hope to have them finished very soon so be sure to stay tuned to this site for the latest.
4.24.08 // Announcing New Web Project & Job Hiring
The next web design gig I have lined up will be for a band called The Defaced. It will be fun to work with the album artwork they have sent over, and I cannot wait to get that project rolling. The other web projects are both still in the development stages, and I hope to get them kicking into high gear by mid May. I am also still going over ideas for Emeric Viani's new website which should be up by the end of June.
In other news, I have accepted an offer to join CBS 6 in Richmond as a production assistant. It will mainly consist of in studio camera and audio console work. Since this deals with the major I had in college, it feels great to finally get my foot in the door after countless months of sending in resumes. Radio Disney is also keeping me on board to voice and edit a show it runs called Kids Concerns aka The Backyard Show. It feels great to work with editing again as that is one of my main passions.
4.12.08 // Upcoming Web Design & More
I have two new web projects coming up. I am excited about the opportunities, and as I begin the process of designing them, I see that they will offer some unique challenges. The goal is to have both of them up and running by the beginning of June. April has been a busy month so far. I just wrapped up a chaotic week of working at the Children's Museum and doing the Radio Disney school tours. My younger sister came in town to stay for a couple days during the week as well. This upcoming week will be the final week of school tours for Project Plant It. I will try to see if I can get any media from one of the shows, and if I can, I will post it here. Finally, I have another interview at CBS 6 for a position within the production team this Tuesday so wish me luck!
4.1.08 // General Website & Life Updates
Greetings! I have brought back the featured voice work seen on the left. It was busy getting a Voice123 and xhtml validated makeover. The clip is my official voice demo which includes a variety of the productions I have done. I also have made some minor updates in the drums section. You can now download the song Unwind from my high school rock band Afterthought's demo. There have also been some changes in the web design section. I revamped the website previews, and I have added some of my latest work there as well.
On the voice work page, I have moved the Adam & Partow clips from myspace to my site. I have also been busy doing general obsessive webmaster type things like validating the other sites I have designed and sprucing up the meta tags. Over the weekend, I got to go home and spend some time with my family which was very nice. The visit included a joint birthday dinner for my sister and grandfather. It was a very special get together that I will not forget. That is all I have for now. Take care!
